On July 4th 1776, our great nation was born with the Declaration of Independence affirming that all persons “are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
We must uphold our Constitution and protect our God-given rights and our freedoms, which so many have paid the ultimate sacrifice to preserve.
4th of July on the Palouse
Our family was especially excited to join the Johnson parade. I grew up in nearby Colton and Pullman and have such great childhood memories of the parade. Our son Conrad was very popular as the walking basketball hoop, and Eleanor was dressed as a bear…because you have to make a special effort for the Johnson parade!

Meanwhile we also had campaign teams at the parades in Spokane, Liberty Lake and Walla Walla. A big thank you to all of our great volunteers!
