A great parade and fair in Asotin

We had a wonderful time at the Asotin County Fair and Hells Canyon Rodeo Parade! My mom Dee joined us along with most of the children (our oldest was on the west side for a State History Day event).

We got a warm welcome from many friends and supporters, and I racked up over 500 high-fives during the parade! The children enjoyed meeting Queen Alexis from the Palouse Empire Rodeo, and we stopped at one of my favorite restaurants from childhood…Sharp's Burger Ranch!

I also appreciated meeting representatives of the group Citizens for Preservation of Fish and Dams, who are working to set the record straight on salmon recovery efforts and the vital role that the Snake River dams play in clean energy, barging and supporting our local economy.

We’ll be back in Clarkston next week for a meet and greet at Basalt Cellars – Thursday May 9, 6.30-8pm. Hope some of you can join us!
